Jade Empire expertly crafts the colors of Taipei into enticing and exquisite Cantonese cuisine, transforming visual artistry into a feast for the taste buds.
In collaboration with Taipei Restaurant Week, participating in "Design Taipei - Design Flavor, Design Taipei," and inspired by the personal philosophy and observations of Taipei by designer Hung Chang-lien, Chef Chen Kuo-hua transforms into a "flavor designer" to translate colors and imagery into a dish that can be tasted.
This time, Jade Royal has prepared 8 exquisite dishes combining Cantonese heritage with contemporary creativity.
Among them, the "Crispy Prawns with Rose and Passion Fruit" was created by the chef, drawing inspiration from the imagery of Taipei as perceived by the designer through the lenses of extremism, vitality, and attentiveness.
The fantail shrimp are deep-fried to a golden brown, echoing the flickering and intersecting neon lights of the city.
The rose aroma blends with the bright sweet-and-sour notes of passion fruit.
Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside
